You can work as many or as few hours as you want. You get to choose what days and times you work. This obviously gives you tremendous job satisfaction. You can just simply fit the job around your lifestyle, how great is that? You don't get that kind of flexibility in every job.
Here’s some figures of what you can earn from a gross salary. At Jump Start Driver Training, our average lesson prices are £35 per hour for our pupils. So, let’s assume you wanted to work 35 hours, that means that your gross income would be £1,255 per week.
In order to qualify as a driving instructor, you first have to pass three tests. These are known as the Part One, Part Two and Part Three. Each test has to be passed in order. Jump Start Driver Training provide you with all the necessary training material and have created a first class training course which will help you pass all three tests and get your career started as quickly as possible.
The answer to this question all depends on your availability. Our course is 50 hours long and includes some homestudy, this is necessary to keep up the momentum of your training. Your course includes training for all three tests and can be delivered over the space of ten days but as mentioned earlier, it all depends on your availability so it can take longer to complete the course. We work around you.
Yes. A lot of our students lead a busy life, therefore, our courses have to have some flexibility. We alwyas try to work around your existing commitments but you have to take into consideration that the longer it takes you to train, the longer it could take you to pass the test and start your new career.
Once you have passed the Part 2 test, which is the driving test and have completed no less than 40 hours training, you can apply for a trainee licence. This gives you the ability to practice your craft with real pupil’s. This obviously gives you tons of real-life experience and prepares you for your final test, the Part 3.
Where possible, we always try to arrange your training in your local area or close to your nearest test centre. We have trainer’s across different regions so we will choose a trainer closest to you.
To date, we’ve never heard of an unemployed driving instructor. The market has for a long time been very buoyant and we can’t see this changing. Once you qualify, you can either start up on your own or you can join our fantastic team and we will keep you very busy if that’s what you want. The choice is yours.
No. Unlike some training companies, we don’t tie you into a contract. Just because you trained with us, it doesn’t mean that you are stuck with us. You are free to leave us at the end of your training. We will never tie you into any long-term contract. However, you can read more information here about our driving school franchise.
